1) If you were still wondering what you should put in your yard this fall, well, you are welcome.
2) I locked myself out of the house this morning. I then arrived at work where I promptly proceeded to lock myself out of my office.
3) I'm leaving the giveaway open until 9pm EST tonight. That has nothing to do with fall.
4) It was around this time when I was 8 that a substitute teacher gave us some skeleton coloring pages. The boy next to me started laughing at mine and so the teacher took it up and then got all shocked and told me it was inappropriate. Apparently, skeletons should not be anatomically correct. I did not realize at the time that certain body parts did not have bones, I honestly thought it was missing from the drawing. (I also gave it a bowtie and a top hat but no one seemed to care about my good dress sense.) Then she told me she was going to write me up. This sent me into fits of absolute hysteria because I'd never been written up before.
And that's when I dramatically begged the teacher not to write me up because if she did, my mother would BEAT ME. And that's when I got sent to the school guidance counselor. And why I randomly got pulled out of class at various intervals to talk to about my feelings for the entire year. And also why my parents had so many extra parent-teacher conferences.
5) I felt kind of bad about the above story until I remembered that was the same year that my mother cut my hair into a bowl cut and then permed it.
