That's Lucy Dog. She's our puppy, although she's not actually a puppy since she is almost 14 years old. She spends most of the day curled up on our couch, on account of how she is really old and does not enjoy exerting energy to roam around the house. In fact, she would much prefer it if Jeff and I would just carry her everywhere but I am not sure if that has to do with her age or the fact that she is a bit of a diva. It's possibly a little bit of both.
A few times a week I curse myself for giving in to my husband and buying a brown couch when we have a white dog. This typically happens as I am attempting to remove all of the little white dog hairs from the couch. Lucy Dog SHEDS y'all. At least if we'd had a white couch it wouldn't stand out as much. And also, it would be a lot easier to throw a slipclover in the wash with some bleach when she steals Scarlette's sandwich and leaves streaks of peanut butter across my couch.

Her other favorite spot is on the rocking chair in Scarlette's room because she is very attentive to the baby and likes to keep an eye on her at all times. This warms my heart, which is good because it's super annoying to have to lint roll the rocking chair every night when I am ready to put Scarlette to bed.
We let Lucy roam so there are really no place that are off limits to her but that also means that nowhere is safe from her shedding mess.
Our previous vaccuum did not even come close to cutting it when it came to pet hair removal on the couch.
