So I tried out the new BISSELL PowerGlide Deluxe Pet Vacuum! I’ve used it to vacuum the rooms we have carpeted but wanted to film myself trying out the special pet attachment to clean our couch. Because Lucy Dog SHEDS y’all. So much. It’s ridiculous. And we can not keep her off the couch no matter what we do.
I mean, she has a comfy little dog bed but will she sleep in it? No. She sneaks her stealthy little self onto the couch whenever she gets a chance. We even tried putting the dog bed ON the couch but she was having none of that, let me just tell you. So our couch is constantly covered in dog hair. It’s ridiculous. I really need to vacuum it every day but our old vacuum had this tiny little attachment brush that took about 20 minutes to do the whole couch with and I still had to go back over it by hand. And by hand, I mean with tape or a lint brush.
I don’t know about y’all but I don’t have the kind of time to dedicate to de-hairing my couch every single day.
My mother filmed me using it for the first time so that y’all could see my genuine reaction to the product and also get a good look at how it works.
I love it. I think you can tell from the video that it does a great job of getting in hard to reach places and sucks up a ton of pet hair really quickly. I did the whole couch in less than five minutes and that I could handle every day. I’m a terrible housekeeper but this is one of my new cleaning tips: get a good vaccuum. That totally cut down on the time I will have to spend doing housework.
My only small pet peeve (pun intended!) is that the whole unit is a bit heavy. It’s lightweight enough that you can move it around to wherever messes are in the house (because Lucy Dog’s other favorite spot is a chair in Scarlette’s room) but I wouldn’t call it a lightweight vacuum. It’s worth it because it does such a good job and I like the you can lift off the entire pod and move it around the house without the base. I know Jeff will really appreciate that when he is cleaning out the car. We just got back from a trip to the beach so he has a lot of cheerios to vacuum out of all those crevices!
The BISSELL is less expensive than it’s similar bagless counterparts so if you are pets or kids (or maybe you are just super messy, ha!) then I think it’s definitely a good investment. It blows our cheap upright vacuum out of the water for sure and I’m hopeful that it will be helpful for battling some of Scarlette’s allergies.
