1) My favorite childhood movie was Milo and Otis. What was yours?
2) Sometimes I want to completly unplug and be totally free from technology. And then I go back to compusively checking my twitter.
3) The ice cream man started making his rounds again and the open house signs disappeared. They've not gone missing once this winter. Coincidence? I think not. Completely creepy? Heck yes.
4) My neighbors put gnomes in their yard. I would like to have veto power over that.
5) Today is Good Friday. I'm in a place in my life where I'm seriously exploring my faith. Religion can have a tendency to indoctrinate and my mid-twenties have been spent discovering what I truly believe versus what I've been taught.
But I know for certain that I believe that God sent his son to redeem us. I absolutely believe in his grace. It doesn't all make sense to me, but the part that I know is true is that he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:5)
It's important to me that you know that for all my questioning, for all my moments of weeping, of wondering why my body is broken, of anger at injustices…I still believe in my Savior. I still believe that love and grace are the most beautiful parts of our existance.
