This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I was growing up we had a designated drawer in the kitchen that we called "The Junk Drawer" and it was, as the name suggests where all of the random junk laying around the house ended up. I have a slight problem with all of my drawers becoming "Junk Drawers." For example, let's talk about my desk drawer:
THAT IS A BUMPIT, Y'ALL. Why do I even still own a Bumpit in 2014? This is a huge problem on so many levels. After giving my office chairs a bit of a makeover I decided to get it together and organize my desk since I had the opportunity to try out Duck Brand's Shelf Liner. Mostly these are meant for kitchens or bathrooms but I think we can all agree that my desk was in desperate need of attention. Let me repeat: A BUMPIT.
I used the smooth top liner which isn't adhesive but doesn't move once you cut it to fit. Also, it is WASHABLE. Yeah, you can take it back out and THROW IT IN THE WASHING MACHINE. What kind of crazy futuristic shelf liner is this? The awesome kind, that's what.
The liner has a bit of a grid on it, which is easiest to see when held up to the light, so it was really easy to cut to fit. I just laid it in the drawer and cut off the excess with a razor blade.
And then to jazz things up a bit I decided to add the shelf liner to my drawer organizers too so that the whole thing looked cohesive and so that things wouldn't slide around so much on the slick plastic. I kind of love how it turned out. I mean, it's almost professional and stuff. Except for how I used silicone cupcake liners to hold my thumbtacks. That's not super professional. It IS genius though.
Also, how cute are these pencils from my friend Kristina? Oh and who else loves Black Jack gum as much as I do? That stuff tastes exactly like my childhood.
