On Monday Laura Anne and I drove up to Tiffani's house to leave a note on her door. We'd spent the hour prior sitting in Starbucks, sipping on caramel lattes and sketching out a detailed interpretation of the Twilight series. And by detailed interpretation I mean a completely inappropriate rendering of Renesmee's birth. And possibly her conception.
Then we wrote a little "sorry we missed you" note above the drawings, drove north, and taped it to Tiffani's front door. We used to do this sort of thing all the time in high school and while we were reminiscing about such things, we decided to re-create a high school moment that very morning. It seemed a hilarious idea at the time.
In our defense, we thought Tiffani was at her in-law's house for Memorial Day. We also didn't think that any potential buyers would be coming to look at her cute home that happens to be for sale on a national holiday. Nor did we think that it was possible that she might be at her in-law's house in Ohio. All week. Turns out, all of those things were possible, a fact that we learned after we'd driven an hour back home.
We can only hope that potential buyers are fans of said Twilight series and also have a sense of humor, preferably a slightly twisted one.
