Remember that episode on Friends where no one can figure out was Chandler actually does for a living? Sometimes I feel like that when I try to explain my job to people. For the past couple of weeks my job has consisted of building this new classroom for our online classes. I coordinate all of our online classes and I am really proud of what we offer. And I try not to post too much work stuff on my blog, because my life is consumed with my work and so I enjoy keeping this space more personal.
But dang it if I didn't just put in a ridiculous number of hours on this new class and I want to show it off.
My friend Wilna is teaching the class and she turned me on to Skype. So the past week has been one of my favorite work weeks yet because I've woken up, made myself a latte, and spent the morning working with Wilna on her class via video chat.
Remember how when you were little, you'd watch the Jetsons and people would have video telephones and you were all "That's so cool and futuristic"? No? Just me?
Wilna is awesome to work with anyways and so video chatting just makes it that much better. And since it's ridiculously cold here, I really feel like I'm sitting in her studio in Canada with her.
Except that I'm all out of Cadbury bars.
