Last month we went to Nashville to film a video trailer for my new book. I told Scarlette that we were going to be in a movie and then she said “OH NO MOMMY! HOW WILL WE GET OUT OB DA TV?!”
The team at B&H was so incredible to work with and sweetly included Scarlette in the filming. They met us with a singing Elsa doll in hand and so obviously that charmed Scarlette immediately. Then she spent the next couple of hours telling knock-knock jokes to the camera and charming the camera guys into playing Hide and Go seek with her. She is not camera shy like her mother.
Honestly, I could not have asked for a better experience, especially because telling parts of our story is still very emotional for me.
I am so honored to be able to share it and am touched at how they captured our story so beautifully.
This week we saw the book in Barnes and Noble and then ended up having SUCH a cool experience (read about it here!) on top of it being such an amazing, surreal moment for me. Then we went to see it at another Barnes and Noble because I may or may not have been stalking myself. I’m not even trying to be cool about this, y’all. I am just fully embracing my awkward giddiness at seeing my book in a real, live bookstore.
(Also several people have shared that their copy has already arrived from Amazon! If you already have your book or spot it in a bookstore, I would love, LOVE for you to snap a picture and tag me on instagram, Facebook or twitter so that I can see it!)
