Today is officially the day. And I don’t mean Canada Day, although it is that too, a fact that I know because I once spent a summer living in Vancouver, British Columbia leading sports camps for underprivileged children. Nevermind that I am incredibly uncoordinated and never played a single team sport in my life. I am not actually even sure how I got assigned that job but I am assuming that putting “Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes” on my summer internship application was probably a poor choice on my end. And while I am very fond of Canada, today I have another reason to celebrate.
My first book releases today.
Anchored: Finding Hope in the Unexpected is now available in e-book, paperback and audiobook form.
(The latter of which Scarlette makes a cameo in, which is a super cute surprise for you audiobook listeners!)
I want to tell you how grateful I am for your kindness and support as I’ve endeavored to bring this project to publication. In the acknowledgements of Anchored I wrote out my gratitude to you, my blog readers, because without you my story would just be a shout into the void. Thank you for giving my words a place to fall. Thank you for championing and encouraging me to tell this story.
(Okay, and I also dedicated a good portion of my acknowledgment section to Ann M. Martin because she is dibbly fresh.)
To celebrate the release of Anchored I am so honored to share a special print with you this month.
I knew that I wanted to have a special printable designed for anyone who purchased a copy of the book and that I could include in my NICU care packages. I adore GraceLaced Art and so I had Ruth create a commemorative painting for me and then partnered with her to have it professionally scanned and turned into a downloadable print for y’all.
She worked in a few special touches that were personal to me: a roman numeral 25 to signify the gestational weeks at which Scarlette was born, a set of monitor leads with tiny hearts on them, and a single feather lying outside of my nest but with my Anchor.
This is my gift to those of you who have invested in our story. Thank you.
When you purchase the book anywhere – online, at your local bookstore, etc. you can then fill out this quick form to receive your free printable! (Yep, even if you already received your pre-order gifts!)
(This picture does not do the print justice. It is gorgeous when printed. Also, the printable version does not say July on it!)
I have more fun news!
To celebrate release day, my publisher is throwing a Facebook party tonight!
I hope you’ll join us at 9 PM EDT/6PM PDT tonight on Facebook! We’ll be chatting live + giving away over $500 in prizes from DaySpring, Coton Colors, Starbucks and more! I’d love for you to join me! It will be so fun! I’ll post more details later today but mark your calendar and then come hang out with us tonight! I’ll be rocking my donut patterned pajamas. In the meantime, please go RSVP here!
And finally, if you would take a moment today to click one of the buttons below and share about Anchored today I would be so grateful. Launching a book as a first time unknown author is amazing and also daunting and your support could not be more appreciated!
Thank you for making this day possible.
Thank you for investing in my story.
You are the best.
