Today is Amazon Prime Day, which is basically Amazon’s version of Black Friday in celebration of their 20th anniversary. They have a ton of amazing deals right now (I saw $199 laptops advertised but haven’t seen them yet) and are announcing new ones every 10 minutes.
They are also inviting everyone to try Prime free for 30 days so that you can take advantage of the deals. Our Prime membership is one thing that I renew every year – we use it to stream shows, get free books and it hugely saves on shipping costs for us. I definitely recommend it and think it is worth the membership fee but this is an excellent time to take advantage of those perks for free.
I’ve been watching the sale this morning and it’s kind of like Christmas in July!
Here are a few of my favorites:
My favorite deal is the Buy 3 Amazon Gift Cards and get a free $10 Amazon credit for yourself! You can choose from a 3 pack of $15 gift cards or $25 gift cards. We give these as gifts often so they are great to have on hand or you can just add them to your own account and then get the bonus $10 too.
A 6-pack of Elements Baby Wipes for $4.40. Use the code ELEMENTS60 at checkout. I mean, we always need baby wipes.
The Prime Exclusive deals in the Grocery section are 40% off – so I’m stocking up on pantry staples this morning.
The Kid’s Kindle Fires are totally worth it IMO. They are $60 off and they come with Kindle Freetime Unlimited, which I love for Scarlette. It has a great kid’s library already stocked on it that updates frequently and I can set a lot of control over her usage limits – the amount of time she can play, the type of media she can interact with, etc. The rest of the kindles are on sale too but I’m a huge fan of how safe and kid friendly the kid’s edition of the fire is.
The new Xyron Creative Station. I have a tutorial and review to share of this soon but I LOVE this product – it’s an all in one laminator, sticker maker and magnet maker and if you are a big crafter, this is a must-have machine. I have been so impressed with it and because it has a repositional adhesive option I SO wish it had been around when I was a scrapbooker!
A TON of my favorite books are almost half off right now – including several hardcover editions. In edition to the ones I wanted for myself, I stocked up on a few extras of these for gifts.
Savor: Living Abundantly Where You Are by Shauna Niequist – I have loved everything I have read of hers and her new devotional was on my wish list. (Normally $16.99, it’s only $9.34 today!)
For The Love: Fighting For Grace in a World of Impossible Standards by Jen Hatmaker – I’m a huge fan of her writing and got to read an advanced copy of this. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a pre-order but it’s normally $22.99 and is $13.94 today!)
Simply Tuesday by Emily P. Freeman – This is also a pre-order but one I’m really looking forward to reading and it’s on sale for $7.85 right now. I think this one will be a great gift.
Anchored: Finding Hope in the Unexpected by me – okay so this is my new book BUT this sale means you can get it for about $8 with free shipping, which is just about the best price ever! If you were planning on donating a gift copy to your local NICU, this would be an awesome time to snag it (and then you can print off free bookplates here!)
Also, look what happens when you buy my book on Amazon:
I can not even lie. This totally made me geek out a little bit. Being included with two of my favorite authors? This is what I looked like when I saw that:
I am very professional and always act with total decorum.
Did you score any great deals today? I haven’t posted any deal posts in forever but I was so excited about the book sale!
