Holy butterfly punch, Batman! It’s a scrapbook page!
This is the summary page for my Week In The Life album. Kara Haupt is teaching an online scrapbooking class called This & That in a few weeks and I used her prompts from the class to make this page. I had four prompts to choose from and I decided on: use a page of your planner or calendar on a page and give a shout-out to anything by finishing the phrase “Hey, ______”.
Since I’ve made exactly two (count them: TWO) scrapbook layouts in 2011, I consider the completion of this page a major success. Please send me a trophy. There are a few things I would change if I hadn’t glued everything down already, like moving the photo further from the funeral line, but I’m trying to stick to my YOU SCRAPBOOK FOR FUN AND NOT FOR PERFECTION mantra.
What, I didn’t tell you that was my new mantra? I’m putting it on t-shirts, y’all. Bumper stickers. Mantras are the new black. Also, my other mantra is “It’s just a little spit-up, it’s just a little spit-up.” Mostly I chant that one when I’m holding the baby at an awkward angle away from me and attempting not to gag. It’s working really well for me.
