One of the first gifts someone gave Scarlette during my pregnancy was a onesie with a little fox on it.We have a bit of a fox theme going in her playroom. My maiden name was Fox so I think it’s a fun way to keep a bit of my family history present. This works out well for me because ’tis the season for whimsical foxes.
Scarlette’s favorite is Mr. Fox. I think she likes him because they are about the same size.
So when I spotted this canvas painting in Melonie’s etsy shop I was all “You were meant for me, and I was meant for you.” We sing a lot of Jewel in this house.
I love this painting so much. The sweet little fox, the woodgrain, the colors, the fact that someone created it by hand through a series of little brush strokes. I wish I could paint things. The closest I ever get to a paintbrush is applying my eyeliner.
No seriously, I use a tiny little paintbrush to apply my eyeliner. I should probably quit being so cheap and actually purchase an eyeliner brush but you can’t convince me that they’re not exactly the same thing.
Anyhow, I loved the painting so much that I stole it out of Scarlette’s room and put it in my office.
Don’t tell Scarlette.
I’ll put it back before she’s old enough to notice.
Today Melonie is giving one of my lucky readers a painting of their choice from her etsy shop! She has so many cute things to choose from that this is a perfect gift for someone on your shopping list this season! For example, you could buy me that panda bear and I wouldn’t be at all sad about it. And if you just want it for yourself, I wouldn’t blame you. I mean, I totally stole my daughter’s.This is the last giveaway for the week and it only lasts until tomorrow so be sure to leave a comment to be entered and to tweet or like it for additional entries!
