I am candle crazy. I can't get enough of them. Partially because I like our house to smell good and partially because when you have a baby in diapers, you want to be SURE that you are keeping foul odors at bay.
I'm incredibly fond of candles in the fall, something about the air turning crisp seems to signal the start of "candle season." Glade® sent me the Autumn Harvest candle from the new Glade Fall Collection and it is everything you would think an autumn candle should be. It's hard to describe a scent, which makes me think I'd make a terrible wine sommelier. I'd be all "This wine has undertones of peach and that way the library smells." And then probably I wouldn't be working as a wine sommelier anymore.
The Autumn Harvest candle smells slightly pumpkin-y which is good because it's the time of year where people go crazy for pumpkins. I mean, have you seen the line at my Starbucks in the morning when Pumpkin Spice Latte season rolls around? So, okay, no you haven't but you know what I mean, right?
And also, you know what I mean when I say that the Autumn Harvest candles reminds me of the way it smells in the fall when people are burning leaves. It doesn't smell like burning leaves, exactly, but that's what it reminds me of. It's a very warm, inviting scent without being sweet and sugary.
I was also supposed to talk about what other Fall Collection scents from Glade® that I'd like to try but instead I'm going to tell you about my favorite one that I already tried. Because like I said, I'm candle crazy. And normally I'm an apple girl come autumn. I always buy apple scented candles when the calendar flips to September. But this year my apple candles were just barely edged out by the Maple Pumpkin. It smells AMAZING.
Except that probably if you burn that one, you should also whip up a pumpkin pie. Because turns out if you have guests over and your house smells like pumpkin pie but you don't actually HAVE any pumpkin pie it's totally disappointing for them. Learn from me, grasshoppers.
