I received a lovely email from a reader recently who mentioned noticing that my photography had improved a lot over the past year and I was super flattered. And also really happy to hear the feedback because I’ve been practicing a lot (it helps that I have really cute little models like my niece up there, am I right or am I right?)
Earlier this year I joined Clickin Moms, which is an online photography site. It is fantastic, it has so many tutorials and detailed explanations from how to work your camera to understanding lighting to how to pose people. The forums are wonderfully helpful and I have learned so much by spending a little bit of time each week focusing on a specific area.

I have no ambitions of going pro, I am happy to keep this a hobby, but there is even an entire portion of the site dedicated to starting/running a photography business. The amount of information on the site as a whole is awe-inspiring. I think it’s an incredible resource for hobbyists and professionals alike.
I’m sort of kicking myself for not joining a couple of years ago when my friend Courtney kept urging me to, because it has definitely taken my love of photography to the next level. My sister-in-law asked if I would take some photos of my newborn niece so I spent a good bit of time reading everything the site had to offer about newborn photography. And while I certainly don’t think my photos compare with that of a professional, I definitely felt more confident behind the camera and really enjoyed trying something new.
I can’t even tell you how excited I was when they agreed to give away a six month membership to Clickin Moms to a new member! Wait, yes I can. I was really, really excited. Jessie Spano excited, some might say.
That will never, ever, ever get old. It’s probably one of my favorite Saved By The Bell episodes of all time.
Leave a comment to be entered to win a six month membership to Clickin Moms! (The only rule is that you can’t already be a member, that wouldn’t be nearly as fun!) Or if you want to try it out, you can do a trial membership for 7 days. That’s what I did and I loved it so much that I ended up buying a full subscription. I am so thankful to Clickin Moms for donating a membership so that one of y’all can enjoy it as much as I have!
