I mentioned in this post that I’ve been using the Yes To Cucumbers moisturizer for awhile. Funnily enough, I picked it up after seeing it recommended by Elise on her blog and have stuck with with it because it’s one of the few facial moisturizers with sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t break my skin out. So when Yes To Carrots offered to send me their new body wash line, complete with a buy one get one half off coupon for my readers if I’d be willing to share my morning routine and how I steam up my shower in a sponsored post, I said “okay!” because who doesn’t love a good, natural body wash?

Confession: most days I’m lucky to get a shower in the mornings on account of how you can’t take your eyes of my two year old for one second lest you find her climbing on top of your headboard. I typically rely heavily on my morning vanilla chai latte, which I make on the stove while scrambling some eggs for Scarlette. If I do get a shower in the morning then there’s a good chance that at some point while I’m lathering up, said two year old will storm into the shower yelling “PEEK A BOO!” or else point to my, ahem, chest and ask “Mommy two belly buttons?”
So yeah, showers aren’t that relaxing anymore y’all.
I stuck the bottle of Yes To Blueberry body wash in there because it’s the Ultra Hydrating one and I have really dry skin. Which is probably made worse by the fact that I like my shower to be practically scalding and I’m pretty sure that’s terrible for dry skin but I can’t help myself. A lukewarm shower is just the worst. I mean, in terms of first world problems and all. And that’s basically as steamy as it gets in my shower because I’m normally attempting to wrangle a tiny, slippery toddler.
Honestly, I think the best thing about the Yes To body wash is that it makes an excellent bubble bath. I love bubble baths, y’all. My favorite thing to do after a long day is to slip into a hot bubble bath with a brand new magazine and a glass of peach chardonnay. Arbor Mist peach chardonnay to be exact, because I like to keep things super classy.
For the bubble baths I like the Yes To Cucumber Soothing Body Wash, which Scarlette refers to as “Da pickle one!” It reminds me of my favorite body lotion from my teenage years, only it’s not loaded with a ton of heavy fragrances and parabens.
This is what it looks like when I get ready to take a bath. Well, what my bathroom looks like. Not me. This is a family friendly blog, y’all.
(True story: I took this photo and then promptly knocked my new magazine into the bathtub. Better it than the chardonnay I suppose. I like to drink my peach chardonnay fancy y’all. With cherries in my crystal stemware.)
I have yet to try the Yes To Carrots Nourishing Body Wash because it seemed a bit wasteful just to open them all at once and I also haven’t tried the Yes To Grapefruit Rejuvanating Body Wash because I am allergic to grapefruit and trying that out seemed like a pretty big risk to take for blog post. So I erred on the side of not giving myself an allergic reaction and passed that bottle on to a friend because my husband said it smelled really good but way too girly for him, like he’s all against using girly body products or something.
Pros: Sulfate free body wash, smells delicious, and I feel good about using it.
Cons: The packaging just isn’t that cute. I know, that’s completely shallow of me but if I have a bottle of body wash sitting out I like it to be in a cute container. At $8.99 for 16.9 fluid ounces, it’s not as pricey as some of it’s all natural counterparts but it is little bit spendy.
So the coupon code will help with that! Visit the Yes To Body Wash page and choose your two favorites and then use the code Y2LINQ for your savings of Buy One, Get One 50% off (Special thanks to Yes To for providing the exclusive coupon code for this partnership!)
