Today I am hosting our family Thanksgiving. This means that I could not get up at 4am to hit my favorite Black Friday sales on account of how a bunch of people are going to be at my house in just a few hours. Don’t get me wrong, I was awake at 4am because my baby likes party all night long, but I felt as though I should not operate heavy machinery with that sort of intense sleep deprivation so driving to the sales was out.
The very first Christmas that J and I were married I offered to make the Christmas ham for my entire family. Only I was 23 years old and had no idea how to cook. Which is the story of how I served ham seasoned with cinnamon, brown sugar, and garlic cloves.
Turns out cloves and garlic cloves are two very different things, y’all. Ten years later I am hosting Thankgiving for the first time and I am happy to tell you that I have learned the secret to a successful ham. It is called “buying it at Honeybaked Ham.” You. Are. Welcome.

I got my niece one of these mermaid sequin pillows and I am SO EXCITED. I know she wants one and this was a great deal. Plus, the mama nest necklaces are $5.99 right now, I’m crazy about these rustic metal letters, which are also $5.99. Also I may have ordered myself one of these. I have a lot of Christmas spirit.
