A few weeks back I posted on facebook that I was listening to Christmas music. In my defense, I was writing my book and working on the chapter about what it’s like to spend Christmas in a Children’s Hospital (spoiler alert: it’s not awesome.)
Anyhow, I mentioned my favorite Christmas song, The Night Before Christmas, which happens to be by one of my favorite artists by the name of Brandon Heath.
Apparently, Brandon Heath has people who read the internets and said people very kindly sent me an autographed copy of his album and mentioned that he was about to release a new Christmas album and asked if I’d like to give away a few copies.
I said yes.
Then I told the internets how much I like Mini Coopers.
You know, just in case.
They mentioned that Brandon has a “No Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving” policy but that, you know, record labels don’t want to wait that long to release brand new albums of Christmas music and so it came out on October 15th.
Here’s a cute video they made about Brandon’s petition to keep the airwaves Christmas-music free until the day after Thanksgiving.
That’s real cute of Brandon Heath and all but I like my Christmas to start as early as possible, personally. I mean, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. I like to drag that out a little bit.
So today, on the last day of October and by my calendar exactly one day before the official start of Christmas Music Season, I have three copies of Brandon Heath’s new Christmas album “Christmas Is Here” to give away!
To enter, just leave me a comment letting my know which side you are on: Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving? And whether or not you signed Brandon’s petition or if you are a detractor like me 😉
(I’m running this giveaway with rafflecopter so be sure to click the “I DID THIS” button after you comment! There are also additional, optional entries for tweeting about the giveaway, etc!)
And if you’re like me and just can’t wait, you can get the album here 😉
(I was not compensated for this post, in fact I bought the Christmas album myself, I just thought that y’all would like this giveaway! I did receive a complimentary copy of another of Brandon’s albums because those folks in Nashville are real nice, y’all.)
