In honor of Mother’s Day, I’ve partnered with Kay Jewelers to share a story about my mom.
My mom is the baby whisperer. My babies snuggle up on her chest and they are out in mere minutes. This does not happen when my babies lay their heads on my chest. My mother likes to think that this is due to her mad grandmother skills but personally I think it may be attributed to the fact that one of us has a bit more cushioning in there.
(Sadly, an ample bust is not something that I inherited from my mom’s side.)
But she is also such a fun grandmother and I’m so thankful that she’s always up for taking my kiddos on outings and adventures. A couple of months ago we drove up to Pigeon Forge and spent the weekend learning how to make pottery, do metalworking, and build a fire!
(Clearly, Ridley was very impressed by this trip.)
(Also, why does my mom look younger than me? I’m going to raid her moisturizing stash next time I visit.)
I have always associated my mother with beautiful jewelry. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen her leave the house without being fully accessorized, even for a day of hiking in the hills of Tennessee. I used to spend hours playing in her jewelry box when I was a little girl.
(I might have even snuck a few pieces to wear to school on account of how my elementary school-self had a penchant for being very fancy but I’ll never admit to it in writing.)
So when Kay Jewelers asked me to choose a piece from their Mother’s Day collection that represented my mom, I chose this stacked diamond ring set. My mom is a lady who likes a lot of bling. It’s like, basically every time she comes around my city.
(Bling bling)
I’m very thoughtful and not at all thinking about how much I also like that stackable ring set if she ever happened to want to pass it down to her favorite daughter or something.
Oh, and in case my husband were to just happen to read this post, on account of how I emailed it to him, I might have my eye on a few things myself. Namely, the sapphire + diamond earrings and necklace. You know, the ones that look strikingly similar to my favorite style icon’s royal engagement ring? I may or may not have recently scored a replica of Princess Kate’s famed blue wrap dress from the royal engagement pictures and I feel as though said necklace would be the perfect accessory. ALL I NEED NOW IS A TIARA.
Whether your mom is big on bling like mine or loves understated jewels, or fancies herself a wannabe royal like yours truly, Kay Jewelers has an option to make this a Mother’s Day she will never forget with a huge selection and something for every budget.
