Here is a look at my pregnancy week by week (minus a few weeks where I was zombie-like sick) and my maternity wardrobe! This is the most selfies I have ever taken in my life. Also, I was basically all baby belly once I hit about 19 weeks. I came in like a wrecking ball.
I did my best to create a budget-friendly maternity wardrobe because turns out having a high-risk pregnancy costs an absolute fortune. Most of my pieces I purchased second-hand through ThredUp, which is my absolute favorite place for gently used brand name clothes. I’ve only ever received really high quality pieces, some still with the tags on. (This link will give you a $10 credit to try them out!) I also used Stitch Fix’s maternity styling service to have maternity and nursing outfits shipped to me since I couldn’t get out to shop.
I am super petite so I tried to wear as much of what I already owned as I could. Open cardigans and wrap dresses were my pieces of choice. I splurged on one good pair of petite maternity jeans from J.Crew. I waited until they went on sale and then bought them through ebates with a coupon code because they were expensive but worth it. They lasted me until 36 weeks (if I had gone longer I would have needed another pair) and then for a few months post-partum as well.
Since I spent several months on bedrest I really only got dressed up for weekly doctor appointments and special occasions towards the latter part of the pregnancy. I spent most of my time in pregnancy pajamas from H&M and these silk robes that I ordered from Etsy, which I ditched the hospital gowns in favor for and am still using often while nursing.
Here is a look at my entire pregnancy wardrobe, along with links to everything at the end. I am so glad that I took baby-bump pictures this time around. For those of y’all who don’t know, I gave birth to my first baby at 25 weeks so I only have a couple of pictures of myself during that pregnancy. Seeing this complete set of pictures for a full-term pregnancy makes my heart so happy.
Week 15: Gold Sweater: Persnickety (Similar here) // Lace Tank Extender: Grace & Lace // Polka Dot Top: Gap from ThredUp // Jeans: J.Crew Maternity
Week 19: Close to this entire outfit came from Stitch Fix. I don’t remember the cardigan brand but the maternity pants were fantastic and are these Liverpool Jeans Company brand. The maternity tees I liked best were these H&M mama tees.

Week 34: Dress One: Gap Maternity via ThredUp // Dress Two: Stitch Fix Maternity // Shoes: Coach via ThredUp
Week 35: Lilly Pulitzer from Trunk Club – not maternity, I just loved it and it is stretchy so it worked! // Shoes: Nine West Flip Flops via ThredUp because my feet were too swollen for anything else.
Week 36: Dress: Lollipop Star (not maternity, but wrap dresses are the best) // Sandals: Gap via ThredUp
Baby pics: Silk robe from Etsy // Teal & Lace Shift Dress from Altar’d State (similar here)
The long necklace I am wearing in several of the pictures is from The Giving Keys and it says COURAGE on it, and then I added a charm that my friend Bre made me that says BRAVE, which felt appropriate for this pregnancy. (You can see a better picture here.)
And that is my maternity wardrobe! All of the maternity tops/dresses that I purchased second-hand I donated and most everything else I packed up and sent to ThredUp because you can also sell your gently used clothes on there. I opted to get credit for what I sent in and then I used the credit to purchase nursing tops!
Because I tried to use what I already owned and because I already had some credit on ThredUp, Zulily, and StitchFix from referring friends, I ended up only spending a little over $100 out of pocket for everything and most of that was on the maternity jeans. I am all about the referral credits, y’all. (And that’s not even just from blogging, the majority of my ThredUp referral credits are just from friends because I’m always raving about it to people.)
