The crockpot we received as a wedding gift went kaput on me a few months ago and I was all “not the crockpot! NOT THE CROCKPOT!”
Because I can’t cook.
And a new crockpot was not in the budget.
So I saved up all my swagbucks and then I used them to buy myself a shiny new crockpot.
This story started off so nicely.
Then I used my new crockpot.
This is a photo of it after I used it for the first time.
I know you’re wondering why I took a picture of my crockpot.
It’s because my husband called me in the kitchen and said “Honey, please come look at the crockpot and tell me if you notice anything, you know, strange about it.”
I didn’t.
Apparently, you’re supposed to remove the cardboard insert prior to using your new crockpot for EIGHT HOURS.
What’s worse is that I removed the actual crockpot, washed it and placed it back OVER THE CARDBOARD without ever noticing it.
And that I was all “why did my fancy new crockpot not cook my food all the way?”
It’s a miracle that I’ve yet to burn our house down.
