When I was a little girl, my favorite place in the entire world was a park in the town my grandparents lived in. And the park at the mountain is where I spent a lot of my teenage and college years. When we bought our first home, the little park down the street was an added bonus for me and now I look forward to walking over to it when Scarlette is a little older.
Parks are awesome, that’s what I’m saying.
The second annual America Is Your Park campaign sponsored by the Coca-Cola Live Positively initiative focuses on so many things that I’m proud to be a part of. Supporting our local parks. Encouraging outdoor activity. Promoting positivity.
So you may remember that we threw a picnic at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park to help raise awareness for the campaign. A picnic at which I took tons of photos and videos to share with y’all.
The goal of America Is Your Park is to encourage people to play, be active and help their favorite park win a recreation grant provided by Coca-Cola Live Positively. I love goals. I’m always setting goals and I have such good intentions of meeting them. SUCH. GOOD. INTENTIONS.
I’d say our day at the park totally met those goals. Play? CHECK. Be active? CHECK. Try to win lots of money for our park? CHECK.
Everyone can vote for their favorite park to win the title of “America’s Favorite Park” by visiting LivePositively.com/americaspar
Did I mention that the first place winner receives $100,000 (and the title of America’s Favorite Park); second place wins $50,000 and third gets $25,000? Because when I said winning, I meant winning BIG.
By the way, there are other ways to vote for your favorite park, including uploading photos of the park to LivePositively.com/americaspar
