1) At some point when we were buying our house we looked at the neighborhood amenities. I forgot where they were. Yesterday was the day to pick up pool keys. Our neighborhood is fairly small. I drove around it for twenty minutes to find the pool. Apparently, someone thought it would be a good idea to disguise the drive to the pool as though it were the entrance to Mordor or something. The good news is that I now have a pool key. The bad news is that I don't even know how to swim.
2) My sister and I sent each other over 20 emails in a 4 hour period. That's probably normal. What's probably not normal is that every one of those emails referenced an early nineties Sophie B. Hawkins song, specifically the one that sounds like she's singing "I love tacos"
3) I've been writing a post about pants. It's turned into a big soapbox on my feelings about pants, or the lack thereof. Apparently, I have really strong feelings about pants and people wearing them. Blogging really brings these important issues to the forefront of my life.
4) When I got home yesterday, my husband was in the cul-de-sac playing frisbee with the neighbor kids. The neighbor kids are 7. I love my husband. Also, baby fever? IN FULL EFFECT.
5) I've been married for 3.5 years and yet I still must say the alphabet aloud as I twist the stem off of my apple at lunch. On top of that, I'm always really disappointed when it doesn't land on a J.
(p.s. there is a free tutorial on paper medallion flowers up at little light studio. That has nothing to do with Five For Friday, I just thought you'd like it)
