Since we’re housebound I decided to start organizing all of our kitchen cabinets. It’s going to be a long winter. For Jeff. I found the I Heart Organizing blog (thank you Pinterest) and now I am obsessed with making our kitchen look like this. I am looking for glass canisters to add to my Christmas list, any recommendations?
I have a huge, sinister looking bruise on my leg. I have no recollection of how it got there. Which got me to thinking about how when I was little someone gave me a lot of Lurlene McDaniel books. Specifically the One Last Wish series. And then after reading them, any time I got a bruise I immediately checked my entire body for other bruises to make sure I didn’t have leukemia. I am not even kidding. I was incredibly neurotic even as a child and most definitely should probably have been medicated for my anxiety issues.
Which reminds me of another story from my childhood in which I somehow got sent on a field trip with the second grade class when I was in fifth grade because I was very, very tiny and also really shy. I had gone to the bathroom during class and a flustered teacher told me to get in line. So I did because I was also incredibly obedient. We were at the performing arts center before the second grade teachers figured out that I didn’t belong to any of them.
I’m making homemade vanilla this week. It was on my list of handmade gifts for the holidays and needed to be started because it has to sit in the dark for two months. Apparently vanilla is very reclusive. Here is a link to the tutorial. I kind of want to put all of my spices in cute bottles like that.
I think Leonardo DiCaprio is the grown up equivalent of my Jonathan Taylor Thomas crush. I’m pretty sure if I had a laminated list it would be made up of just Leonardo DiCaprio and Jason Bourne. Don’t even try to tell me Jason Bourne is not a real person.
