ONE) Jeanette has been visiting and all week I’ve been telling her that I hear a cat in my house. “I don’t hear a cat. Maybe it’s Lucy, the dog” she kept saying. I, however, insisted that I was hearing a cat meow and was sure there was a cat stuck in my chimney or basement or something. I searched my house high and low for said cat.
Last night I sent her this text message: “I found the cat. It’s a button that Scarlette is pushing on her excersaucer.”
TWO) My niece, Nixie, is three and super funny. She talks all the time and sometimes we maybe tune her out a little bit. Like on the car ride home when the GPS said “Turn left in three quarters of a mile” and Nixie kept going “Turn left, she said turn left, it’s time to turn left.” So when Nixie started asking if she could have three quarters, my mom offhandedly said “Nixie, we don’t have three quarters!”
To which Nixie looked at the dashboard and shouted “Hey Lady! We don’t have three quarters!”
THREE) Have I ever told you the story about how my sister took a picture of Michael J. Fox to Show and Tell in elementary school? And how for the “tell” part she told her class that Michael J. Fox was our uncle? And also how my maiden name was Fox, so the PTA president called my mother and asked if her brother could possibly come speak to the kids for career day? Or how my mom’s actual brother was in the Air Force and so that request made perfect sense so she said she’d ask him?
No? Well that’s the story of how the entire school thought I was related to Michael J. Fox for awhile.

FIVE) Did you know that if you want to see what people have pinned from your website, you can type in http://pinterest.com/source/INSERTYOURDOMAIN.com/ (and obviously, replace “insertyourdomain” with your website/blog name) and it will show you all of the pins that came from your site? It is also great.
