1) While eating lunch in the NICU waiting room, I was trying to catch up on emails. Trying being the operative word here. The guy across from me says to his wife "For all we know, she could be writing down every thing we are saying right now." Laughing, I assured him I wouldn't do that. And then I un-assured him as I remembered that I totally write down things that total strangers say and put them on the internet. I try to make friends with the other NICU parents but things like that make me think my approach isn't working so well. "Hi, want to be friends with me and have your life be fodder for people to read on the internet? Call me!"
2) The girls and I exchange emails in long sets via the "reply all" button. They have a tendency to start off serious and slowly morph into inside jokes and links to random funny videos (thank me for that little gem later). I really enjoy that one of the girls closed our last email with this: "In other news, the American Pediatric society has changed the rules regarding car seats/ booster seats. According to them, Kayla still
needs to be in a booster seat :)"
3) Scarlette has a vanilla flavored pacifier. She really, really loves it. I wonder if this is because I'm prone to randomly opening the spice cabinet and sniffing the bottle of vanilla flavoring. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about.
4) It's never actually Friday when I write these.
5) Sweetness abounds. Our big little love.
