Kristin Hannah is one of my favorite authors. I loved her novel Firefly Lane and was excited to review Fly Away, in partnership with BlogHer. From a book lover’s standpoint, I was captivated by the writing in Fly Away. Kristin Hannah is a number one New York Times best-selling author for a reason, y’all. The effortless way that she moves between characters and perspectives and flashbacks is beautifully done. I found it striking and it really drew me into the depth of the emotion in the story. It is charming and funny and heartbreaking all at the same time. (It is also now available in paperback. I highly recommend Fly Away as a book-club pick, it’s definitely the sort of book that pairs well with a glass of wine and a good group of girlfriends.
