This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gro-ables. All opinions are 100% mine.
We planted our Gro-ables a couple of weeks ago. They were really easy to do, you just pull the lid off and push them into some dirt. They haven’t sprouted yet but I’m not sure if that has to do with the actual pods OR the fact that “watering the porch plants” is my three year old’s job. I mean, I believe in kid’s having chores and she is really enthusiastic about her watering but probably it was maybe not the best call for the actual plants. Oh well, she is learning!
We planted lettuce and basil, the latter of which I plan to use to create our favorite recipe: Broccoli Basil Pesto Pasta. I use this basil pesto recipe from Weelicious and add broccoli and chicken over penne pasta. It is such an easy go-to meal that it has become a staple around here. In fact, you can see it & how I make it here in this Day In The Life video I did back in October.
I want to put in some cilantro like in this Home Salsa Garden – we do a LOT of salsa in this house!
I grow a lot of basil, I have a few containers going from seeds we’ve saved over past years because I make a lot of tomato sauce and other dishes that use that particular herb. What is your favorite recipe to whip up with homegrown herbs?
