Y’all, Amazon is having a stellar sale on Christian Women’s books right now. You can snap up 5 great best-selling books for under $5. Seriously, 4 of these are just 99 cents and one is free.
These are all kindle ebooks and the best part about that is that you don’t even have to own a kindle to read them. Amazon has a free kindle reading app that you can install on any of your mobile devices to read kindle books on!
Here’s what you’ll want to add to your kindle library before they go up in price!
Chasing God by Angie Smith (99¢) – I love everything Angie Smith writes and this book was no exception. The premise is her story of moving from chasing God to relationship with God and I really connected to the idea of how continuously striving created a spiritual disconnect. This was a book full of good, helpful ways to recenter while also making me laugh.
The Fringe Hours: Making Time For You by Jessica Turner (99¢) – Thousands of women have been inspired by Jess’s permission slip to carve out time to do what they love. Full of practical and encouraging tips to help find the pockets of time that often go underused, it’s a great read and excellent gift for the busy woman on the go in your life. Who is probably you. It’s not about doing more, it’s about being more.
Anchored: Finding Hope in the Unexpected by me (99¢) – Okay, so this is my book and my book is allowed to be my favorite, right? Plus, it had a little orange bestseller badge for a whole two months so I am counting that. It’s basically the only trophy I have ever received. Anchored is my memoir of navigating my newfound motherhood in the most unexpected of ways, interwoven with hilarious and hope-filled stories to encourage and uplift. I really believe it is a bright message of hope for any woman.
What Women Fear: Walking in Faith that Transforms by Angie Smith (99¢) – This is my favorite of Angie’s books. It was one of those books that you read and think, “Me too! This is so me!” Fear is such a powerful emotion and Angie tackles it beautifully in this book. I find myself still referencing things I learned from it years later.
Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World by Emily P. Freeman (free*) – This is what I am currently reading and it has been such a good motivator in causing me to slow down, reevaluate, and restructure my life. Amazon just introduced a free library of thousands of ebooks for Amazon Prime subscribers and Simply Tuesday is one of the free books that you can choose. I included it here because I know that most of y’all have Amazon Prime and since it’s a really great book I wanted to let you know how you can get it for free!
(And if you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can try it for 30 days free here and read lots of free books and magazines while you test it out. Amazon Prime is basically my sister-wife.)
If you read yesterday’s post, then I encourage you to join our community in sharing the gift of words! In addition to picking up some of these books for yourself, click the little “give as a gift” button on the far right-hand side of the Amazon page (you have to scroll down a bit) and send one of these books as a gift to a friend or loved one in your life that might need a little pick-me up!
It’s kind of like the pay-it-forward chain at Starbucks, except for under a dollar it costs way less than a fancy cup of coffee!
