I’ve talked a lot here about the changes we’ve been making to work towards a healthier lifestyle. We started changing our eating habits a few years ago and have made progress in that I’ve learned to cook things other than boxed macaroni and cheese. Jeff is great about snacking on healthy things but I have a bit of a sweet tooth. And by “a bit” I mean, “OH MY GOSH GIVE ME THAT CHOCOLATE BAR RAT NAO!” That’s southern talk for “right now” by the way.
Jeff grabs a ProBar on the way to work every morning so we were only too happy to try to their new Halo Bars. The Halo bars are meant to be an all-natural candy bar. They have no preservatives, are certified organic and are dairy free. Plus, they are low in sugar. I figured they would taste like a protein bar but I was wrong, they are actually more like a cross between a granola bar and a candy bar. Not quite as sweet as a candy bar but not quite as oat-y as a granola bar. That’s a very technical description.
I’ve been keeping a few in the diaper bag and snacking on them while we’re on our daily walk. They won’t replace my chocolate chip cookies with milk after dinner but they will keep me from snacking on candy while I’m out and about.
They are a little pricier than your average candy bar, it’s a better deal to buy a box so I’d recommend going in with a friend and then splitting two flavors between you.
If you want to try them, ProBar is giving away a box of twelve Halo Bars to one of my readers!
(US readers only, sorry international friends, I’ll make sure to include more giveaways for y’all!)
To enter, just leave me a comment below between now and September 10!
They are also offering 40% off your first order if you shop through this link: http://theprobar.com/shop and enter code BLOGGER at checkout.
Here’s what you’ll find if you’re digging around in my diaper bag (besides pacifiers, sanitizing wipes and 42 bottles of diaper cream. Don’t ask.) The S’mores are my favorite, because anything S’mores tends to be my favorite 🙂 I’m a sucker for the cute packaging.
