I know Leah of Bluebird Chic from scrapbooking and she’s one of those crafty people who, unlike me, can sew stuff. She makes beautiful ruched camera strap covers that make me gaze longingly at my sewing machine and think to myself “Self, you really need to learn to thread a needle.” I’ve seen a lot of cute camera strap covers online but the ruching on these is what sold me.
I love mine, it’s really cute but a bonus is that it’s comfortable and not scratchy like the stock Nikon strap. It was packaged beautifully and shipped quickly. And also, when attempting to take photos of it actually on my camera, it gave me an excuse to use the tried and true “photo of one’s self in the mirror” pose, which we all know is the mark of any good blogger.
The camera strap is very well made and is standing up to a LOT of use. I take a lot of pictures of the really cute baby that lives in my house, y’all. Scarlette is a big fan of the bright colors, which is helpful for getting her to look at the camera instead of, you know, the ceiling fan.
And here’s a tip: to thread your strap through the cover, clip a clothespin on one end. The weight of the clothespin makes it easy to slide through the cover and then you can just thread the rest of the strap through!
So the good news is, you don’t have to just covet my cute one because Leah is giving away one ruched camera strap to one of my readers! And if you can’t wait for your own, she’s got a discount code just for my readers – use the code SLIGHTLY15 for a 15% discount in her etsy shop until September 30!
