You might remember from this post that Haribo Gummies are my husband’s favorite candy. Literally any time I see a new flavor I pick a bag up for him (Happy Colas are his favorite.) So the day this package arrived at my house, he was a very happy man:

It came as a part of a promotion for the new Smurfs 2 movie, which I was looking forward to on account of how A) I watched the Smurfs as a kid (who didn’t?!) and B) They are strawberry and raspberry flavored which is basically my favorite of all the flavors and C) NEIL PATRICK HARRIS.
Let’s all take a moment and re-live my love for Neil Patrick Harris, shall we?
And no, he never did tweet me. What kind of one-side relationship is this? Where’s the love, NPH?
(Sometimes when brands ask me to write about things for them, I wonder if they read my posts afterwards and are banging their heads against their desk like “Why is this girl rambling on about Neil Patrick Harris’s twitter account?”)
(But then I think “Dude, I got those gummy Smurfs to stand up using only tiny bits of marshmallow and toothpicks. That was so professional of me.”)
(Seriously, that was really hard to do, y’all.)
(But I wanted you to be able to see them individually so I pressed on. I’m a giver, y’all. I’m a giver.)
The folks over at Haribo sent me some some fun facts about the gummi candies to share. Like how they are gluten-free (did not know that) and how apparently, people in Europe have been enjoying the strawberry/raspberry flavored gummies for awhile now and they are just now getting to the US of A. You Europeans get all the fun stuff, like Prince William and autobahns.

Scarlette’s too young to sit through Smurfs 2 although I know my nieces want to see it. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you thought!
We shared some bags of the Smurfs gummi candies with our family because, well, that was a LOT of gummi candy and so far they’ve been a total hit. Also, my nieces think I’m the coolest, so thanks Haribo!
