Warning: This post contains pictures of me without any makeup on. I know, I can’t believe I am putting them on the internet either. ALMAY asked me to try out their new products. I really like playing with makeup, and I have a lot of holiday events on the calendar this year, so I said yes because let’s be honest: getting to try out new makeup is a really fun part of being a blogger. Plus, they offered to give away a $100 Visa Gift Card to one of my readers and I figured someone would love to win that this holiday season.
I liked the ALMAY intense i-color kit in bold nudes the best, so that is what I’m showing off in these pictures. They come in different color palettes for different eye colors. I picked up the set for blue eyes but they had brown, green and hazel as well. I got the last package so I figured that it must be pretty popular with the blue-eyed girls. Also, it gets a plus for being hypo-allergenic. My contacts thank it for that. There are instructions on the back of the case to tell you where and how to apply each color. While I applied my eye makeup, Scarlette did my hair with an eyeshadow brush. 
You can also expect to see lots of photos of my fall tablescape because: A) it is the best lighting in my house and B) it is the only clean space in my house. True story. So here is the before picture. I totally have concealer on here. I am not THAT brave, y’all.
And the after. This is with the bold nudes i-color and the ALMAY color + care liquid lip balm in nudetrients. The lip balm is lighter than that. I have it over a nude lip liner. Oh also, the lip balm is gluten-free. There is your fun fact for the day! I couldn’t find my brown eye liner so I just wet the tip of my flat eyeshadow brush and dipped it in the center dark brown eyeshadow and used that to line my eyes with a bit of a subtle cat-eye shape. 
I would wear this for a daytime holiday party, or to the grocery store. Sometimes I like to be fancy when I’m buying apples. I just added a bit more of the color to my eyes and switched to the plum lip balm for a more sophisticated, bolder look. I made Jeff take some pictures because my arm was tired. Also, I DID decide to keep that blazer and I feel good about that decision. 
I mean, between the blazer and the baby there is a whole lot of cuteness going on there. (I know she’s not a baby anymore! I’m in denial!) There is just enough shimmer in the eyeshadow to make it fancy without being all “LOOK AT ME! I SPARKLE LIKE I BELONG IN A STEPHENIE MEYER NOVEL!” I’m thirty. I can’t shower myself in glitter anymore and NOT look like I’m trying too hard.
