This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bed Bath & Beyond. All opinions are 100% mine.
It's T-Minus 4 days until Christmas and I have baked exactly nothing.
I love holiday entertaining and somehow this year the time has slowly slipped away from me. I feel like we just put our tree up, even though it was nearly a month ago now! Probably it's the fact that I have a three year old to chase after. That's another reason I haven't baked anything yet, because there is nothing that girl likes more than baking. Well, except Buzz Lightyear. Given the choice between Buzz Lightyear and a cookie, I'm not actually sure which she would choose.
I needed some ideas for easy desserts that I could make with her, ones that would let her mix and stir and decorate but that weren't so involved that they would be frustrating to make with a toddler.
Bed Bath & Beyond asked me to check out their Holiday Your Way page and I expected to be somewhat underwhelmed because I thought it would be mostly made of up of product sales. And then I got all distracted because it is like a mini-Pinterest! There is a whole section for Holiday Recipes and I spent way too long browsing them because I kept finding stuff like this:
And then I got distracted in the Holiday Entertaining because NAPKIN SHAPES!
Seriously, I spent a while attempting to fold my napkins like this because I am sort of obsessed with folding things into shapes, like cruise line animal towels.
I love cruise line animal towels.
Then I was all "How come my cookies never look like this?"
I browsed around some more on the decorating and gift sections of the site because there was really a lot of good content and then decided to make the peppermint brownies because YUM and also because I figured the three year old would like crushing up stuff.
If you're like me and still scrambling for some ideas but finding Pinterest a wee bit overwhelming right now (I'm looking at YOU, Elf On The Shelf) then Bed Bath & Beyond's holiday site is a great online destination for tips and tricks to help your planning without making you feel like you need to go all Pinterest on everything and end up glitter bombing your house.
