When the original version of this embellished monogram popped up in my Pinterest stream, I immediately bookmarked it knowing that I wanted to make one and put it in Scarlette’s room.
I took me forever to complete this because I just laid all the materials out on the dining room table and randomly worked on it whenever I walked by. This is because Scarlette is a (miraculous) little handful and a half. And also, she thinks every single object she sees is for eating. Which, loosely translated, means “do not attempt to do this project while simultaneously holding your nine month old.” While no buttons made their way into her mouth, there are now 5,927 buttons scattered across my dining room floor from my attempt to prevent said buttons from being consumed.
Motherhood. I got this.
Also, she can’t crawl yet.
Here is a link to the full tutorial for this project by my friend Jen. That girl is a genius and we need her mind. (Related: I love Father Of The Bride and I once ran into Kimberly Williams Paisley at the Franklin movie theater. It was awesome. She was really excited to meet me slightly taken aback by fangirl KA. )
Do you see that white thing in the bottom of the photo? That is Scarlette’s crib. Which we just put together. Yesterday. Apparently, a crib is to our nursery as a Christmas tree is to our living room. Watch out for that little analogy to appear on your next SAT prep quiz, kiddos. This here is an educational blog.
As soon as the final shelf arrives, the nursery will be finished and I can commence with Project Post Pictures Of The Baby’s Room. It only took me like, 9 months to finish it. I could have had a baby in that time or something.
