Being asked to try the new Breyers Gelato Indulgences was basically a no-brainer, y’all. I mean, gelato. That is all.
We broke out the gelato for date night this week. With our crazy schedules and equally crazy three year old, Movie-Night-At-Home is kind of our date night things. It’s easy and affordable and we don’t really watch much television so I always look forward to it. J cooked us dinner while I took on the task of setting the date night mood by lighting some candles and finding something to watch on Netflix. I am very good at being a helpmate, obviously. I did put our gelato in fancy dessert dishes complete with caramel wafers so that counts for something I think.
The Breyers Gelato Indulgences come in four different flavors: Vanilla Caramel, Triple Chocolate, Raspberry Cheesecake, and Tiramisu. Sadly for me I could not find the Raspberry Cheesecake at any of my local stores. Cheesecake flavored ice cream is my favorite kind so I figured that cheesecake flavored gelato would be my jam. And by jam, I mean gelato.
Turns out that the Vanilla Caramel tastes slightly cheesecake-ish so that won my vote for favorite. My husband’s favorite was the Triple Chocolate. Neither of us like Tiramisu so we didn’t even try that one, we just passed it along to my BFF, because it is her favorite dessert. And she’s pregnant. But back to the gelato: look at the Vanilla Caramel! So pretty. So delicious. So very much a terrible selfie of us.
