I’ve seen a few pins on Pinterest where people do interviews with their kids and now that Scarlette is talking more I thought this would be a fun thing to do every so often as she gets bigger. Obviously I had to add my own commentary here as my kid is hilarious.
(I put together this list of 20 questions to ask your toddler by mixing and matching some I saw on other blogs like this one and this one and then adding in some of my own)
1) What is something that Mommy says to you? I shweep with da basheball
(She does not actually sleep with a baseball.)
2) What makes you happy? A pwize! I wan da pwize!*
(*Surprise. I normally always come home with something small like a cookie for her and tell her that I have a surprise for her. Mommy’s love language is gifts, y’all.)
3. What makes you sad? I cwyin! Oh no I cwyin! *pretends to cry*
4. What makes you laugh? Da box! The box one! The box one funny. And mommy! (You think mommy is funny?) Yeth! Mommy funny!
(Nope, no idea what she is talking about. Except I am hilarious. )
5. How old are you? I two! YETH!
6. How old is Mommy? Da nummer one, Mommy!
7. How old is Daddy? What? What you doin, Mommy? Two? Daddy da nummer two?
8. What is your favorite thing to do? Mushic, I want mushic! *begins to dance* (I know you like music, but what is your favorite thing that we do?) Bake! I bake da muffinsh, I mix da muffinsh.
(Seriously, she sings all day long. Nonstop. And asks me to “pur in da shugar make da muffinsh?” every morning.)
9. Who is your best friend? Haywee and Nixie and Bob Da Mato.
(Her cousins and Bob The Tomato, obviously.)
10. What are you really good at? Da nummer TWO! YETH!
11. What did you do today? Dwivin in da car eatin da Mee Moushe
(Not even close, didn’t leave the house, ate no Minnie Mouses.)
12. What is your favorite food? Marmawwohs, I wike da marmawwohs, yummy!
(There’s a small possibility that I bribe her with marshmallows to smile for the camera.)
13. What is your favorite song? *starts to sing* Me ah ma teddy geddin aww weady, geddin aww ready por bed
(I can’t even with this one y’all. Raise your hand if you remember Kathy. Or if you had a little sister who as obsessed with her. Or if you just googled her to see what she looks like twenty-some years later? No? Just me? Okay then.)
14. What is your favorite color? Gween! And da yewwow!
15. What is your favorite animal? Owl. (An owl? An owl is your favorite?) Yeth.
16. What did you dream about? Muggys! Muggys eatin shoup! Yewwow Monkey eatin shoup. Dey nekkid.
(This is what she tells us every morning too, that she dreamed about nekkid yellow monkeys eating soup. I don’t even know, y’all. I don’t even know.)
17. What is your favorite toy? Ocopush and fwoggy.
(We own zero octopus or frog toys.)
18: What is your favorite fruit? I make a owange ananana.
(She is not allowed to have oranges or bananas and so again, I don’t even know.)
19. What is your favorite book? Wocket in da pocket
20. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Do water da ducky.
