The reason that no one takes me seriously is that I have a really fantastic giveaway to share with y’all today. It’s a diamond ring. And so naturally I can not stop myself from typing things like “Every time I come around your city BLING BLING.”
But seriously, Kohl’s offered to give away this 1ct (t.w.) diamond ring to one of my readers. I was like “I’m sorry, did you say A DIAMOND RING?” This is probably one of the coolest things that I’ve ever been able to give away. I so hope it makes one of your days extra merry and bright.
Last week my friend Kristen was all “Help me help my father-in-law buy jewelry for my mother-in-law.” I have a bit of a reputation for loving shopping for gifts for other people. Even if those people are strangers to me. Gift giving is my jam. So I was like “Take him to the jewelry department at Kohl’s” because they have a great selection and they are affordable and everyone likes Kohl’s. I mean, if she ends up hating it she can almost definitely exchange it for something she does love because they have a huge diamond selection.
I know this because I was there last week with my mother and it took an extraordinary amount of effort for her to pull me away from the diamond and sapphire earrings modeled after the ones that Princess Kate wears.
(I know. I have a problem.)
Have you ever seen the movie How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days? And how they spend the whole movies calling diamonds “frosting” and saying things like “frost yourself?” That’s lame. I’m not going to do that, even though that is a hilarious movie.
