I’ve talked about Minted quite a bit here as I always have some Christmas cards printed by them. Most recently I mentioned them because I purchased a set of personalized mommy cards from them and then persuaded the Urgent Care to take one as a form of photo ID since I had forgotten my wallet the day Scarlette busted her head and needed staples. That is probably the most random use of their product ever. So thank you, Minted, for coming to the rescue that day.
I order from them often because their quality is great and when they asked me if I’d like to feature one of their new calendars I said “You Got It Dude!” because I’ve been watching a few too many Full House reruns lately and also because I typically gift a photo calendar for Christmas and was sure that theirs would be top of the line.
(So if you are my family member, stop reading this so that you don’t possibly spoil your Christmas surprise.)
I decided to make a photo calendar of my daughter and my niece, mostly because I had a ton of cute pictures of them together.
The process was super simple, I literally just picked a design and dropped in my photos. I also added in the dates for really important events, like my impending thirtieth birthday because I’m super helpful like that. Settling on a design was really the toughest part because they are all really cute. I ended up going with the large chalkboard-washi tape theme. I liked that I could change the washi tape colors on each individual month to match the photos I was using and that there was a little section for additional notes on it.
When it arrived Jeff agreed that it was the best photo calendar we’ve done in terms of quality. It’s really thick and the photos look fantastic. Here is a peek at it hanging on our kitchen cabinet:
If you’re in the market for a photo calendar for Christmas, I can vouch for the fact that this one is stellar. The only thing I think I would do differently is choose a design where a large photo makes up the entire top portion of each month because the print quality is so good, you could easily frame each of the twelve photos after the calendar is used up. And then I would feel better about the priciness, because I am a cheapskate.
