My niece turned five recently and since her nickname is Tink, a Tinkerbell party was definitely in order. Disney had just sent me one of their new digital music gift cards and I thought it would be a perfect addition to my gift for Nixie.
That is her face when she saw it so I’m going to say that yeah, she loved it. She felt really grown up getting her own own music gift card. Also, didn’t my sister do a great job on the Pixie Hollow themed party? It was so cute. (Do your recognize some of those decorations? That’s because they are from Scarlette’s 1st birthday party…we recycle around here y’all!)
Personally, I think they make great gifts because they Disney digital music store has a ton of selections from their hit artists, current shows and all of the classics like The Little Mermaid soundtrack as well as music from a variety of other Disney sources (like Disney Junior or Nixie’s favorite: Disney Fairies.)
I didn’t have to worry that she’d download anything inappropriate with it because most of the music is family friendly. I know Disney promotes all of their music as family-friendly but personally, I wouldn’t let my 5 year old download certain songs like Selena Gomez’s “Come & Get It.” I realize that I am pretty strict about that sort of thing but I’d still recommend a little parental supervision to steer purchases in the direction of The Lion King soundtrack if your kid is on the younger side. I mean, who doesn’t want to listen to Hakuna Matata on repeat? You think I’m joking but I’m totally not. I love that song, y’all.
Anyhow, you can get the gift cards at most major retailers and obviously, five year olds like it when you tie them to a Tinkerbell balloon 😉
(You can find a full list of retailers at www.disneymusicgiftcard.com and access the digital music store at www.disneymusicstore.com)
Disclosure: I was sent this gift card for blogging consideration. I was not compensated monetarily for this post, I just knew that Nixie would really love it and decided to keep it for her and write about her reaction and cute party.
