Almost every single bit of my thanksgiving this year is that tiny, beautiful, little girl; my Scarlette.
I'm thankful for NICU nurses who snap pictures of her for me when she gets a bath, so that I can see her face without all her tubes and lines.
I'm thankful for a husband who is the perfect father to her and my other great love in this life.
I'm thankful for a God who loves us through all of our human emotions.
But I am so very thankful for you, our friends and family. You, who are praying for her. You, who are loving her daily. You, who have given us gifts of time and resources that allow us to spend as much time with her as we are able. We are so humbled at the love you have shown our family. We opened up packages of giftcards and tiny preemie clothes and knitted blankets this week and I wept at the amount of kindness and love we have been shown during this time. I can not tell you how very thankful I am. Truly you have helped ease our burdens, both emotional and physical and for that we are more grateful than I will ever be able to express. I sincerely hope that throughout the rest of our lives we are given the opportunity to help others in the ways you have helped us.
And also? I'm ridiculously thankful for tiny baby poops 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving, from our little family to yours.
We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. – 1 Thessalonians 1:2
