This is my favorite time of year, I love the sweet season of gratitude that surrounds Thanksgiving and the spirit of peace and joy and giving that is fully embraced as Christmas approaches. Plus, now I count my daughter’s birthday among my favorite holidays that fall on the latter part of the calendar and that is one of my greatest blessings.

Today they are giving away a set of the vintage style Redeemed Christmas Wooden Blocks! You can see below how I tried to use them for decoration, you know, as they are intended, but Scarlette was all “BWOCKS! MINE BWOCKS!” and then she told me all of the letters on the blocks because she is a genius.
In case you are thinking to yourself “Self, this does not look like KA’s house” you would be right. It does not because I have not yet shown you photos of our newly renovated basement-turned-apartment. This is because I was spinning Scarlette around in the office chair and did not notice that the camera cord was wrapped around the base until it snapped in half. That was not safe. And also, now all the photos are stuck on my camera.
Anyhow, I love these blocks because you can change them around to say several different things. So far we’ve displayed JOY and SAVIOR and GLORY. It’s so important to me that Scarlette be surrounded by reminders of Christ’s birth during this season. I also ordered this felt advent calendar to count down with her. I love that it is called “Love Came Down”- such a beautiful message. And we get a new family ornament each year so this year I ordered the little birdcage, because I love that it says “The Lord has sent me to tell the captives they are free. Luke 4:18”
