I'm really bad at pulling the car into the garage without hitting the house. I took the new car out the other night and my very patient husband was waiting on me when I got home, so that he could pull the car in for me. The following conversation ensued:
J: "Why do you have the brights on in the neighborhood?"
KA: "I don't. I just have the regular lights on. Why, are they very bright?"
J: "Yes. Because they are the brights. Didn't you see the little blue lamp on the dashboard?"
KA: "Well yeah, but I thought that meant that I had turned the lights on correctly."
J: "It's 9:30! Did you have them on all night?"
KA: "I plead the fifth"
I think I probably made a lot of new friends when I was driving around town the other night. They were probably all like "that girl is just a beacon of light to us all." And that's probably why they were all waving at me.
I also wanted to say thank you to some of the websites that have featured my work lately! Thanks to oneprettything, tipnut, i-do-it-yourself, hipnhandmade, and Wendy Smedley. Also, Tim Holtz wrote a really nice post about my blog recently (it might have made me have happy tears) and now it's my turn to tell you that he is doing a free set of tutorials called 12 Days of Christmas Tags on his blog and it is awesome.
