Shutterfly's current theme is Spring Celebrations and I am all over that bandwagon. I created a simple 8×8 Shutterfly book that chronicles Scarlette's 156 day stay in the NICU as a gift for her NICU nurses. I'm actually really excited to give it to them because cupcakes and tears don't seem like a good enough expression of gratitude, although I am not sure anything can accurately convey to them just how much we love and appreciate what they did for us. But I'm a proud new mommy and so I'm still in that new mommy phase where I'm pretty sure all that anyone wants are pictures of my beautiful baby girl. You know the one, the mom that wraps up 5x7s of her baby as Christmas gifts for everyone in her life? That's totally me right now. This is my Christmas in July April.
This is the cover of the book. I really enjoyed seeing the photos of babies born like Scarlette and their progress and so I hope that this contribution to the unit is an encouragement to future moms of micro-preemies who occupy the tiny baby rooms we lived in for so long.
When they contacted me asking if I had anything to celebrate this spring I was like really? Do I have anything to celebrate? Oh just THE BEST THING EVER!! It was really great timing with Scarlette's NICU graduation.
I used Shutterfly to make her birth announcements and also, I had our wedding guest book made using their photo books and printed by them, I knew it would come out looking great.
Remember seeing all of those blog posts around the internet about Shutterfly cards around Christmas time? Join me and jump on that bandwagon this spring! They're offering bloggers a chance at 50 free announcements (and not just baby related but also graduation announcements or save the dates or "hey look we just moved" announcements) so…
