The other day I was looking through old family picture albums for some photos of myself at Scarlette’s age and when I came across this one it immediately reminded me of an outfit that Scarlette got for Christmas this year.
And so obviously I gave her a side ponytail and oversize sunglasses so that I could recreate that photo and have some of the two of us side by side. This is an incredibly productive use of my time. I am not even being sarcastic. I mean, I HAD a post scheduled for today tentatively titled “That One Time I Got Kicked Out Of Graceland” but obviously that is going to have to wait for next week because of all the cuteness going on here.
The big difference between Kayla Aimee at age three and Scarlette at age three is that I had way more hair than she does and about one tenth of her personality. Oh, and that thing about how she basically looks nothing like me and instead is a tiny little clone of my husband.
Also, this is what it is like to try and get a single photo of Scarlette standing still and smiling:
(I’m linking up with #tbtstories over at The Mom Creative today, to tell the stories behind the photos)
