Subscription gifts are one of my favorite things to give and receive. It’s always fun to get mail so finding a present in the mailbox for months after Christmas ends is the epitome of happy mail. (Keep reading to see how to get a FREE fabfitfun box – a gift that people will LOVE)
If you’re looking for the perfect last-minute gift, here are my suggestions for some of our family’s favorite subscription gifts! Most offer a one-time option in addition to a 3,6,9, and 12-month plan so there is something for every budget.
Plus, download and print this free 5×7 fill-in-the-blank gift card!
This way you have something to wrap up so that your gift recipient has something pretty to open!

1.) FabFitFun Subscription – This box is the most fun. You could say it’s…fab. See what I did there? This is perfect for the girl in your life who loves fashion and beauty, loves trying new things, or loves surprises. The teen girl in your house who loves YouTube and Instagram? THIS BOX IS FOR HER. It’s also for me, a 30-something year old woman so you know, it’s versatile. I get this box for myself and I love it. Keep reading to see how to get a FREE box!
First, join Rakuten (formerly ebates) which is a site that gives you cash-back when you shop online through their links. I’ve been using them for nearly a decade so I can vouch that they are legit. Right now, new users to Rakuten get $40 cash back once they spend $40 – so they are basically giving people $40 to shop with! You have to have a new account for this deal to work.
Once you are logged in to Rakuten, search FabFitFun. They have an offer for $15 back. Click on that and it will take you to the FabFitFun site and you can choose a seasonal box. This is the fun part – I LOVE curating my box! You can either give this as a gift or you can break up what is inside for gifting.
(Note: don’t use a coupon code here because you want to get the $40 cash back to make the deal free and a coupon code will take you under the $40 you need to spend.)
Your total should be $49.95 – check out without using a coupon code. In just a few days, you’ll see your cash back of $40 from Rakuten and $15 from FabFitFun deposited into your Rakuten account. Which means that – yep, you’ll actually MAKE $5 on this deal!
Click here to join Rakuten – even if you don’t get the FabFitFun box (which you should because FREE GIFTS) you should totally take advantage of the free $40 and the fantastic savings they offer over the holiday season at all your favorite stores.
2.) Streaming Subscription – A Hulu subscription is one of our favorite gifts to both give and receive. I like to package this up with a bottle of wine and some popcorn when I give it as a gift to adults or with a box of candy if I give it as a gift to a child/teen. HOT TIP: Get it until Monday, November 30 for just $1.99 a month! It’s usually $5.99 a month so this is a total steal. Then scroll down to get a streaming-service version of the printable!
An Amazon Prime subscription is also an excellent gift because it includes video, tv, and music streaming in addition to the free shipping.
Similarly, a Kindle Unlimited subscription is great for the book lover in your life (and a great addition if you are giving someone a Kindle as a gift this holiday season! Wrap up the Kindle with the card above.) It’s basically a huge library of ebooks, with some Audible titles in there as well. An Audible subscription was a big hit with my audiobook loving girlfriends as well.
3.) For The Wine Lover/Foodie – Firstleaf Wine Club is a must at $29 for 6 bottles of award-winning wines, this is basically the best deal on a bulk gift of excellent wine. If you have a wine lover in your life, this is a fabulous gift for them – but it’s also a great deal if you want to snag a bunch of good-quality bottles of wine at steal and then gift one to several different people in your life (hello, teacher gifts!)
Home Chef is the way to your loved one’s heart. Trust me, a meal delivery subscription is every busy mom’s secret desire. This link will give you $90 off! (That’s not a typo, it’s a huge promo they are running right now)
4.) Magazine Subscription – Discount Mags currently has a ton of magazines on sale from just 99cents! There are a lot of titles to choose from for men and women. My husband is giving me a subscription to HGTV magazine and Food Network magazine for Christmas. (I’ll need to remember to tell him that.) I like to buy a single copy of the magazine I’m gifting and wrap it up with the print above!
5.) Book Of The Month Subscription – Book of the Month was my birthday gift to myself and I absolutely love it. If you have a book lover in your life, this gets my highest recommendation. A new release hardback book in the mail each month? I love it.
Get your first Book of the Month for just $5 here!
6.) Online Learning & Courses – Scarlette, my six-year-old, loves cooking. We are all Food Network, all the time in this house. For her birthday this year we bought her a subscription to these online cooking classes for kids called Kids Cook Real Food. I highly recommend it. Scarlette watches the intro lessons, works on the printable, and then we put the tablet in the kitchen and she does the cooking lesson as we watch. This and something called Gift ‘Ems (that I don’t even understand) were her favorite gifts this year. The course only opens a couple of times a year so if you have a little chef on your hands, definitely check it out.
For adults, there are a lot of options that align with your loved one’s interests that you can give! I am a big fan of Crystal Paine’s Make Over Your Mornings and am going to start her 15 Days To A Healthier You course next week.
(Although I do not recommend giving these as gifts unless you KNOW your recipient really would like them, lest they seem passive-aggressive, like that time one of my friends got a box of thank-you notes and a book about how to write thank-you notes from her mother-in-law????)
7.) Kiwi Crate Monthly Craft Kit Subscription– Scarlette has been getting Kiwi Crate boxes since she was about 3 years old. She loves putting the projects together and I love that they keep her engaged in creative play. They are my saving grace on rainy days! Kiwi Crate has a variety of crates across ages and interests and are one of our family’s favorite things. (You can also buy a single crate at Target if you want to wrap one up with the print above to let them know their subscription is coming!)
8.) Household Essentials Subscription – I adore Grove Collaborative. I have my household essentials sent directly to my door, which is really helpful during a busy work season with two kids, and I love that they carry all natural products. A subscription like this is super thoughtful for a busy mom! You can use this link to get a $10 credit.
9.) Beauty Box Subscription – PLAY by Sephora is a favorite among my friends – and perfect for the teenage girl in your life. Plus, at only $10 a month it’s super affordable.
10.) Styling Services – Stitch Fix and Trunk Club are both fun personal styling services that send outfits picked just for you straight to your doorstep! I loved both, although Stitch Fix is a bit more budget friendly than Trunk Club (but Trunk Club gives you more options.) A gift card for one of these would be so fun for the fashionista in your life.
So those are some of our family’s favorites! Hopefully that list helps you check off those last-minute, hard-to-buy-for gifts still left on your list! Happy Holidays!
